Day 1: Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk U

Transfer to airport for late morning flight to Sittwe, Rakhine State. Sittwe is a small harbor located on the conjunction of the Kaladan River and Bay of Bengal. Transfer to jetty. Start 6-hour journey up river to Mrauk U, the last royal capital of Rakhine. Mrauk U was founded by King Min Sawmon in 1430 A.D and had maintained its highest prosperity for 355 years till 1785 A.D. Numerous lakes, Pagodas, remain of buildings and other vestiges indicate that it was the site of a once important and glamorous city. Arrive Mrauk U in the late evening. Transfer to hotel, check in. Dinner in hotel. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 2: Mrauk U sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel. Start with a morning drive to Maharmuni Pagoda (Kyauktawgyi Pagoda), 60 km away from Mrauk U, about 3 hours drive. On the hill of this Pagoda, there is a small museum where one can find valuable antiques. On the way back to Mrauk U, visit Wethali, once a major port city where trading with foreign countries occurred. 17 feet high Wethali Payagyi is also worth visiting. Lunch in a local restaurant in Mrauk U. Afternoon sightseeing start with visit to 17th century Pagodas such as Thakya Man Aung Pagoda, Yadanar Man Aung Pagoda, Zina Man Aung Pagoda, Lawka Man Aung Pagoda, and Mingalar Man Aung Pagoda. Continue visiting to Shitthaung Pagoda or Shrine of the 80,000 images, built in 1535, Cothaung Pagoda, Yadanarpone Pagoda, Pitaka Taik, Linbanpyauk Pagoda, Andaw Pagoda, and Dukkanthein. Dinner in hotel. Overnight in Mrauk U.

Day 3: Mrauk U - Sittwe

Breakfast at hotel. Visit to the morning market, palace ruins and Museum in the morning. Lunch at local restaurant. Start the journey back to Sittwe by boat. Reach Sittwe in the evening. Transfer to hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight at Sittwe.

Day 4: Sittwe - Yangon 

Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing includes Payagyi Temple, Cultural Museum, and the local Mosque. Also visit to view point where a large platform based of the former lighthouse serves as a good spot to view the beautiful surrounding. Transfer to the airport for the afternoon flight to Yangon. Transfer to hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight at Yangon.

Day 5: Yangon departure

Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer to airport for international departure.
