Trekking and Bird watching: Yangon - Putao - Namhti - Putao - Yangon
(7 Days / 6 Nights)

Day 1: Yangon arrival (-/L/D)

Meet on arrival at Yangon International Airport by Woodland guide. Transfer to hotel for check in. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market, formerly known as Scott market. Evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda - 2500 years old world famous stupa. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon - Putao (B/L/D)

Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to Yangon airport for domestic flight to Putao which is situated at the Northern most part of Myanmar and 218 miles away from Myitkyina. The scenic beauty of the snow-capped mountain surrounding the Putao plain is breathtaking. Evening at leisure, dinner will be in the local restaurant. Overnight in Putao Guest house.

Day 3: Putao - Namkam Village (B/L/D)

After breakfast, begin the trip to Machanbaw, on the East bank of Malihka river. From Machanbaw, Namkam village can be reached by hiking 6 miles. One can observe the culture and rituals of Rawan people in the village. Beetles, butterflies, different kinds of wild cats, and birds such as Eagle, Kite and Horn-bill live in this area of the evergreen forest, which is connected with the Namti range.

Day 4: Namkam village - Namti Camp (B/L/D)

After breakfast, proceed to Namti camp (13 miles) hiking up and down hill, and crossing stream by a cable bridge in the natural environment. In Namti range, there are many different kinds of orchids and herbal plants as well as birds and animals. Among many interesting plants, there are black orchids to see. This area is also the breeding ground for leaf deer species. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in Namti camp.

Day 5: Namti - Numsabum - Putao (B/L/D)

After breakfast, proceed to Numsabum camp (13 miles). The journey includes hiking up hill and down hill for approximate 6 hours, and boat riding in the river. Numsabum is situated at the foot of the Namti mountain. Grape fruits and many types of citric fruits are in abundance. This area is surrounded by deep forests with resonant sound of gibbons and sweet trills of birds. For those who are interested in nature study, there are many kinds of trees, ferns, medicinal plants and orchids as well as birds and animals. Lunch en route. Visit Kaung Mu Lon Pagoda. Return to Putao. Dinner and overnight in Putao Guest House.

Day 6: Putao - Yangon (B/L/D)

Breakfast in the hotel. Morning transfer to Putao airport by local bus and back to Yangon by domestic flight. Transfer to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight Yangon. 

Day 7: Yangon departure 

Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer to airport for international departure. 

Departure days: Monday and Wednesday
